“Hi, I’m Mads!
I am a queer multimedia ceramicist based out of Arizona, who uses critters real and imaginary as inspiration for my pottery. Carving through the flat surface, I illustrate my characters with unique bodies and personalities. My goal is to bring humor, love, and joy with my little clay creations!
My critters are a little goofy, a little wild, always a little bit themselves — and that's exactly the point. I want people to look at these odd, colorful little creatures and feel a little more permission to be odd and colorful too.”
