I create whimsical yet thought-provoking figurative illustrations that tap into the uncanny and imaginative spaces of mundane life.
As a Hispanic Queer female artist, I use surreal depictions to expand on the limiting structures of identity — the female form merged with fruit, with flowers, with food, caught between being consumed and simply existing. What started in 2017 as a meditation on temptation has since evolved into an ever-growing series that binds my love of figure drawing with my deep interest in movement, body language, health, and sexuality.”
