“Hi, I'm Jenny Walker !
An artist and librarian, and both of those things are more connected than they might seem, because everything I make is driven by a deep curiosity about the stories we tell ourselves and others, and the ways those narratives shape how we understand the world. Working in ink, acrylic, charcoal, and monotype printmaking, I create intimate works that blur the boundary between painting and drawing, finding the emotional charge hiding inside traditional subjects like portraiture and landscape. I'm a process-oriented artist, which means the materials themselves are always part of the conversation, and I follow them as much as I lead them.
